Rivers Schara, a graduate of Sul Ross State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree launched his insurance career in 1999 as a third-generation State Farm Agent alongside with his father, David Schara. In 2002, he opened his first office as a captive agent with State Farm than in 2022 he became independent agent partnering with his wife Rodda Yates- Schara. Rivers Schara Insurance is a division of Yates & Associates Insurance, a family-owned agency with over 50 years of experience. Rivers lives his life by a quote from Mark Twain, “Find a job you enjoy doing, and you will never have to work a day in your life”; Rivers expresses he has been blessed professionally and personally. Rivers and Rodda have six children and are actively involved in the agriculture industry. Spare time is often spent traveling to Livestock Show and Rodeos with their children. Lacey, a local Boerne-ite began her career in the Insurance industry in 2009 as a Case Manager specializing in Life Insurance. She obtained her Certificate of Designation for Total Customer Service for Commercial Lines shortly after became licensed General Lines Property and Casualty Agent for Texas. She first joined RS Insurance in 2019 leaving in 2022 to broaden her insurance career. Spring of 2024, she returned back taking on the role as our Commercial Account Manager, her precise nature makes her a real asset in dealing with our clients. She has one son, Brayden, which is attending Texas State University. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends

Frannie Hernandez joined RS Insurance in March 2018, bringing over a decade of experience as a licensed agent in Property & Casualty, Life, Accident, Health, and HMO since 2008. Specializing in Personal Lines Insurance, she focuses primarily on managing renewals. Outside of work, Frannie enjoys spending quality time with her family.

Aemar connected with RS Insurance in 2023 in our Personal Lines Department. He has over 6 years’ experience in the hospitality industry, and for the past 4 years an Insurance Servicing Specialist. His approach combines servicing and sales expertise to establish authentic connections and provide peace of mind through competitive insurance coverage tailored to individual needs. He has a unique talent for turning the complex insurance landscape into engaging narratives. Each policy has its own story, and he’s there to share it with passion and sincerity.

Darnelle, a retired Air Force veteran, made the move to Texas and entered the insurance industry in 2017 as a Personal Lines Manager, focusing on Home and Auto Insurance. He joined RS Insurance in the summer of 2024 to expand his career and continue his commitment to community service. Known for his outgoing personality and warm smile, Darnelle adds a positive energy to the office. Outside of work, he enjoys diving into books and catching up on sports.
